Tali Finn is a children’s author who believes in the quiet magic of storytelling — the kind that helps children feel seen, understood, and brave enough to grow. Her stories are inspired by real life, real emotions, and the everyday moments that shape young hearts and curious minds.

At the heart of Tali’s work is a belief that every child carries their own superpower and invisible strength — whether it’s creativity, kindness, resilience, curiosity, or the courage to keep going when things feel hard.

🌈Behind the Books

Tali’s writing journey grew from lived experience, not textbooks. Her biggest inspiration was her son who started writing at a very young age, creating a world of fictional characters and funny stories.  Together, they discovered how creativity can help us understand the world, express emotions and find light during difficult or uncertain times.

​

From this space of shared imagination and healing, Stella Sea Star and other stories continue to be born.  Stella is just one part of a Tali's creative world, as she explores Minecraft-themed adventures in the LOL Series as well as autobiographical heartfelt children's stories — Starry Sky and Catching a Rainbow (coming soon).

The rainbow behind Stella is a symbol of hope, promise, healing, beauty and connection — like the gentle strength we discover as we grow that can help us navigate life's challenges.  These themes gently weave through Tali’s stories — offering comfort, reassurance to little hearts, helping them celebrate inner strength, emotional growth and serving as a reminder that hope, beauty and kindness can still be found, even during our most challenging times — one story, one day, one rainbow at a time.

At the heart of Tali’s work is the idea of superpowers — not the kind found in superheroes, but the very real ones we all carry inside us. ​Inspired by the sea star’s natural ability to regenerate limbs and transform — Stella reflects the belief that even when life is a challenge, inner growth can make us stronger and help us feel ourselves again.

​

Superpowers can be small or mighty. They might be learning to read and write, finding courage, expressing big feelings, or finding ways to discover resilience and growth.  Through moments of creativity and encouragement, Stella Sea Star reminds children that everything they need to grow and shine already lives within them, like a superpower from within!
